We have set up many employees to access vpn from home. When I connect to vpn I can connect to all computers on internal network either by name or ip address and so can most everyone else. However, I have one client that when he connects he can't connect to 2 computers by name but can by ip address.

Once you've setup the VPN, try pinging the server. Then try telnetting to port 3389 on the server. If the telnet fails, then port 3389 isn't being routed properly.
